The Role

Following Genius Sports' acquisition of Legend, we have a unique opportunity to significantly expand our sponsorship and media sales business across Covers and

Oddspedia.

We are hiring a VP of Sales to build this B2B business by l everaging the high value player pool to secure partnerships with operators

.  You will own the number for converting audience attention into premium, sponsorship-grade revenue.

What You'll Do:

• Tier 1 Sponsorships: Own and execute end-to-end sponsorship sales cycles with Tier 1 operators, from account planning through pitch, negotiation and contracting, driving high-seven-figure annual revenue across Covers and Oddspedia.
• Vertical Scaling: Scale Game Provider partnerships from their current baseline into a primary, high-volume revenue vertical, building the commercial playbook that gets operators competing for co-owned game placements.
• Senior Relationship Ownership: Act as the senior commercial relationship owner with C-level, VP, and Head-of-Marketing stakeholders across operators, game providers, and payment partners.
• Pricing & Packaging: Set and defend premium pricing benchmarks across sports and gaming audiences, spanning operator, game provider, and payment method sponsorships.
• Commercial Discipline: Institute and normalize monetization standards across all productized real estate game reviews, operator reviews, dedicated hubs, and detail pages.
• Operating Cadence: Run a tight weekly operating cadence - pipeline reviews, deal inspection, and forecast calls – deliver a forecast leadership can trust.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with the performance marketing sales team and Commercial Intelligence function to align go-to-market and launch automated dashboard tracking growth.
• Industry Presence: Represent Genius Sports at key industry moments, enhancing the Genius profile in sponsorship and media marketing.

What You'll Bring

• Commercial Leadership: A decade of high-level B2B commercial leadership within iGaming, Fintech, or digital media.
• Industry Authority: Deep background in sports and iGaming, with a sharp understanding of how to turn player experience and user journey into high-value commercial outcomes.
• Revenue Innovation: Proven ability to identify unmonetized digital real estate and build high-margin revenue pipelines from scratch.
• Expert Negotiation: Skilled at commanding premium terms, protecting brand value, and walking away from deals that devalue the asset.
• Data Discipline: Experience working in complex data environments where KPIs and rigorous measurement frameworks dictate strategy.
• Collaboration: A natural ability to navigate a sophisticated organization and align multiple departments around one commercial number.
• This role offers an annualized salary of $180,000 -
• $230,000, plus variable compensation, and includes eligibility for Genius Sports Group’s benefits plan.
