About the Role
Optimal Dynamics is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. This role leads the evolving development of our customer-facing SaaS platform. This role is focused on building high-performance, intuitive interfaces that translate complex logistics workflows into elegant, usable experiences.
As a senior-level individual contributor and frontend technical leader, your work will define frontend architecture, establish best practices, and drive the development of scalable design systems. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend engineers delivering cohesive, end-to-end user experiences that balance speed, reliability, and maintainability while elevating engineering standards across the organization.
Experience building beyond the frontend, along with an interest in flexing your full-stack or backend engineering skills when needed, is a strong plus.
This is a full-time, remote-friendly role open to candidates across the U.S., with the option to work from our New York City headquarters.
What You’ll Do
- Frontend Architecture & Development
- Design, build, and scale performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend systems using modern frameworks (React, TypeScript). Own key UI architecture decisions, including state management, component design, and application structure.
- Design Systems & UX Excellence
- Lead the development and evolution of reusable component libraries and design systems that ensure consistency and scalability across the platform. Collaborate closely with design to deliver polished, user-centric interfaces.
- Performance & Quality
- Optimize application performance, load times, and responsiveness. Establish best practices around testing, observability, and frontend reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, end-to-end features. Translate complex domain requirements into intuitive UI/UX solutions.
- Who You Are
- Educated: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experienced
- Senior level expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
- Proven experience building and scaling complex, production-grade web applications (SPAs)
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture
- , including state management, performance optimization, and component design patterns
- Experience integrating with APIs and distributed backend systems
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, testing frameworks, and
- CI/CD workflows
- Experience collaborating with design teams using

Pay Range
$165,000 — $195,000 USD
