About the Role:

The Account Executive, Advertiser Solutions, Political is a hunter role. This person will build new relationships across the political and advocacy agency landscape that complement and extend the agency coverage already in place — specifically the small to mid-size political and advocacy agencies that take real time and digging to find and win. They'll also pursue larger, well-known political shops where they bring existing relationships or credibility.

The goal is to broaden PubMatic's reach across the political ecosystem, working alongside the team to expand overall coverage.

This role requires the ability to build credibility with agencies that handle candidates and causes across the entire political spectrum.

Ideal candidates bring experience at a DSP, a major ad tech platform, or a political-focused ad tech/data company, along with relationships or exposure to political and advocacy agencies.

What You'll Do:

• Proactively hunt and build new relationships with small to mid-size political and advocacy agencies, plus select larger agencies where existing relationships or reputation provide an entry point
• Expand PubMatic's footprint across the political and advocacy agency landscape, including agencies that handle candidates and causes across the entire political spectrum
• Build credibility and trust with agencies representing both sides of the political spectrum
• Support execution of PubMatic's platform sales strategy across political and advocacy agencies and organizations, as well as select independent agencies
• Embrace a culture of collaboration and accountability across the organization
• Travel as necessary in support of business objectives (prospect/client meetings, conferences, internal meetings)
• Who You Are: 2 to 4 years of related experience in Sales and/or Business Development within an advertising technology company, DSP, or political ad tech/data platform
• A demonstrated hunter mentality — a track record of proactively sourcing new business, not just managing an existing book
• Relationships within, or exposure to, the political and advocacy agency ecosystem, and the ability to build credibility with agencies that handle candidates and causes across the entire political spectrum
• Experience supporting PMP deals in both managed service and self-service models
• Experience supporting deals that involve collaboration between multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of the dynamics of the sell-side, most notably operations of supply-side platforms and ad serving tech
• Ability to present effectively to client stakeholders
• Confidently navigate challenges while responding with solutions
