Our Radiation Oncology team works together to support safe, accurate, and high-quality treatment while continuously improving patient care and outcomes.
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist performs data acquisition and quality assurance activities for external beam treatments and radiation oncology equipment. This position receives training and supervision in the operation of quality assurance instrumentation, procedures, and software until competency is demonstrated.
Following successful completion of training and demonstration of competency, the Quality Assurance Specialist independently performs assigned routine quality assurance activities within established procedures and communicates results to Medical Physics leadership.
This position also assists with quality and performance improvement activities and generates reports related to machine and treatment-specific testing.
