Associate Systems Engineer at Custom Computer Specialists | LAYIQ

Required
2-3 years of experience in IT support, networking, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (Network+, Security+)
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, and wireless technologies.
Familiarity with Cisco networking and Cisco Meraki solutions.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server environments.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience patching Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optic cabling.
Ability to lift 10 pounds or more and transport equipment and safely use ladders when required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel throughout Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City.
Preferred
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is preferred at the time of hire and required within 6 months of employment.
Cisco Meraki Solution Specialist certification
Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification
Familiarity with access control, surveillance, audiovisual, or low-voltage systems.
