What You’ll Do
- Maintain continuous surveillance of people in the therapy pool, lap pool, and spa to ensure safety
- Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in water activities on a continual basis
- Provide safety information to people prior to indulging in water sports
- Supervise swimmers to ensure they comply with safety protocols
- Spot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents
- Enforce all pool rules and handle and report unruly behavior consistently
- Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively, and according to established emergency and accident management procedures
- Perform rescues in the event of drowning or swimming accidents
- Perform first aid and CPR as required by adverse situations
