From Cadence's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
Cadence is the clinical AI company automating the treatment of chronic disease. Its Clinical Intelligence takes on the routine, high-volume work of chronic care – monitoring patients, surfacing risks, and coordinating action – so clinicians can focus on the decisions that require them.
Grounded in partnerships with more than 20 leading health systems, deep EMR integrations, dedicated medical group, and experience serving a population of more than 100,000 patients, the system learns from real-world care delivery, improving as it scales. Cadence has been recognized by TIME as one of the Top 100 HealthTech Companies and by LinkedIn as a Top Startup (#4, 2025).
We're hiring a Commercial Contracts Attorney to manage and scale Cadence's contracting function across our health system partnerships and vendor relationships, ensuring our agreements support rapid growth while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.
This is a mission-critical role at the intersection of legal strategy and healthcare operations. You'll collaborate across sales, partnerships, clinical, finance, security, compliance, and operations teams to deliver work that directly enables Cadence to expand access to proactive, tech-enabled care for patients with chronic conditions.
5+ years of experience handling commercial contracts in-house and/or at a law firm, with a strong preference for experience in healthcare or life sciences. Experience on both the sell-side (customer/partner agreements) and buy-side (vendor/procurement contracts) is preferred.
Working knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, Civil Monetary Penalties Law, and clinical licensure and scope-of-practice requirements. Experience with HIPAA and privacy law is a plus. Experience contracting with payers is a plus.
Experience building or improving contracting processes, including playbooks, clause libraries, or template suites that support a scaling organization.
JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
A commercial attorney with healthcare experience who thrives in high-velocity, mission-driven environments and is comfortable owning the contracting function with minimal oversight.
Fluency with AI research and productivity tools and the ability to evaluate AI-driven insights critically, distinguishing signal from noise in a fast-moving information environment.
