WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Techno is looking for a Construction Inspector to support a citywide pedestrian accessibility program across New York City. This role is focused on field inspection of sidewalk, curb, and ramp construction, ensuring all work meets ADA requirements, contract specifications, and agency standards.
- Perform field inspections of pedestrian infrastructure including sidewalks, curb ramps, curbs, and roadway interfaces
- Verify construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, and ADA accessibility standards
- Maintain daily inspection reports with clear documentation of progress, site conditions, measurements, and photos
- Observe contractor operations, including materials, installation methods, and sequencing of work
- Identify and document non-compliant work, safety concerns, or field discrepancies, escalating as needed
