Tool Technician at 1 Resource Group | LAYIQ

High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical or vocational school training preferred.
Experience repairing industrial tools and equipment preferred.
Moderate knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repair techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced repair shop.
Ability to obtain an internal forklift certification.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Able to multitask while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Candidate must provide their own hand tools for repairs (bench equipment provided).
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent physical activity, including: Standing for extended periods (over 90% of the workday)
Walking, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions
Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds regularly
Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
Operating hand and power tools safely
Good hand-eye coordination and close vision for precision repairs

Work Environment
This position is primarily performed in a repair shop environment.
Employees can expect: Exposure to heat, humidity, temperature fluctuations, and shop noise
Occasional exposure to manufacturing and production areas
Working around moving mechanical equipment
Exposure to dust, fumes, and airborne particles
Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats when applicable
The environment can be fast-paced and deadline-driven while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Overtime & Availability
Overtime may be required based on workload.
Occasional after-hours emergency work may be necessary.
$18.00-$19.00 HR DOE
