- Job description
Design, implement, and optimize software for custom network switches using high performance packet processors.
Develop and integrate L2 protocols such as VLAN, PTP, RDMA, Auto/Manual Port Speed, Packet Forwarding, Port Mirroring, Jumbo Frame Support and MACsec.
Implement L3/L4 protocols including Packet Forwarding, IGMP, ICMP, ARP, NAT, IPv4, and DHCP Server.
Requirements
- Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development for networking equipment.
- Extensive experience in managing, developing, and implementing L2 and L3/L4 networking protocols.
- Strong background in network security protocols.
- Experience with Marvell packet processors and Prestera switch family preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and scripting languages like Python.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and standards (IEEE, IETF).
- Experience with embedded Linux development.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces, drivers, and JTAG.
- Knowledge of network timing protocols like PTP (Precision Time Protocol) and synchronization techniques.
- Experience with secure boot processes (CNSSP 15)
