Executive Construction Advisory Board Member

AlphaHire is seeking accomplished construction executives and operational leaders to join the AlphaHire Executive Construction Council, a selective advisory board of senior industry professionals helping shape the future of construction workforce intelligence.

The Council brings together experienced leaders from commercial construction, infrastructure, mission-critical development, industrial construction, renewable energy, and specialty contracting to provide real-world perspective on the workforce and operational challenges affecting the industry.

As a Council Member, you will contribute executive-level insight into topics such as labor availability, compensation trends, workforce planning, regional expansion, operational scaling, retention, backlog execution, and leadership hiring.

This is a fully remote, flexible advisory opportunity designed for active or former senior construction executives. Participation may include executive roundtables, research initiatives, strategic advisory discussions, industry reports, and select onsite engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive perspective on construction labor markets, hiring conditions, compensation trends, and workforce constraints
• Share insight into contractor growth, backlog expansion, regional scaling, and workforce-dependent execution risk
• Help validate construction labor market research, compensation benchmarking, and workforce forecasting
• Participate in executive discussions regarding labor availability, retention, organizational growth, and operational scaling
• Provide practical interpretation of emerging construction market and workforce conditions
• Contribute to executive workforce briefings, industry reports, research initiatives, and market intelligence publications
• Advise on leadership hiring trends, organizational bottlenecks, succession planning, and workforce strategy
• Provide insight into the operational impact of labor shortages and compensation pressure
• Help identify workforce risks affecting project delivery, profitability, and contractor performance
• Collaborate with AlphaHire's research, advisory, and industry leadership teams to improve the accuracy and relevance of construction workforce intelligence

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience within commercial construction, infrastructure, mission-critical construction, industrial construction, renewable energy, specialty contracting, or a closely related sector
• Current or prior senior leadership experience in a role such as: President
• COO
• Executive Vice President
• VP of Operations
• Division Executive
• Regional Executive
• General Manager
• Operations Executive
• Preconstruction Executive
• Senior Project Executive
• Similar senior construction leadership position
• Strong understanding of construction workforce planning, labor constraints, hiring strategy, operational scaling, and project execution
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, large operational teams, regional business units, or significant construction programs
• Ability to contribute practical insights based on direct construction industry leadership experience
• Experience navigating labor shortages, compensation pressure, employee retention challenges, rapid growth, or regional expansion strongly preferred
• Direct construction industry leadership experience is required
• Interest in workforce forecasting, operational analytics, construction market intelligence, or industry research preferred
• Advisory Participation
• Participation is flexible and will vary based on each member's experience, availability, expertise, and level of involvement.
