Position Summary
The Investments Director is an integral part of the Impact Investment Group that is focused on making investments that generate equitable economic prosperity and promote community health throughout the country. The Director will be responsible for sourcing and executing impact investments, managing portfolio companies, reporting to stakeholders, supporting the development of the Investments Team’s infrastructure within Momentus, and assisting in the management of fund-level performance.
The Director will work closely with portfolio companies across the country to generate measurable impact and rationalized investment returns.
This position reports to the Managing Director of Investments and can be located in the Arlington, VA, California offices, or New York City metropolitan area and/or 100% remote.
- Essential Responsibilities
- · Proactively identifying potential investment opportunities using own network and knowledge base
- · Screening new investment opportunities to assess their fit with the fund’s mandate
- · Analyzing the competitive landscape for potential investments
- · Working with and overseeing junior-level professionals on the team
- · Supporting and leading the due diligence process with potential investments
- · Working on financial models to assess cash requirements for key milestones within potential investments and current portfolio companies
- · Tracking progress of portfolio companies post investment
- · Supporting executives in their board responsibilities and, over time, assuming select board responsibilities
- · Working on investment updates and valuations for quarterly and annual reports

The salary range for this position is $142,244 – $190,000 and may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive.

- Structure B: $158,048 - $180,000 Washington, D.C.; Maryland; Virginia (DMV); non-Bay Area California markets; and Massachusetts
- Structure C: $173,379 - $190,000 New York; New Jersey; and the California Bay Area
