About the Role
As an Elder Law Attorney, you will advise clients on estate planning, Medicaid planning, crisis planning, and long-term care strategies. You will meet directly with elderly clients, families, and caregivers to create practical legal plans that protect assets, clarify healthcare wishes, and support care decisions. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys client relationships, thoughtful legal drafting, and helping families navigate urgent financial and healthcare challenges.
You will join a collaborative Estates Department where your judgment, compassion, and New York elder law experience will have a direct impact.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on Medicaid eligibility, asset protection strategies, and long-term care planning options
- Develop and implement pre-planning and crisis planning solutions for clients and families facing urgent care needs
- Prepare and oversee estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, healthcare proxies, powers of attorney, and related documents
