Develop familiarity with KIHOMAC proposal development processes, templates, writing standards, and document-control practices
Support the Proposal Manager and proposal team with proofreading and copy editing of proposals, responses to solicitations, presentations, marketing materials, and other business development documents
- Review documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, readability, formatting, and adherence to established style guidelines
- Assist with checking document consistency, including headings, acronyms, terminology, numbering, cross-references, tables, figures, and captions
- Assist with formatting and preparing Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents using established templates and styles
- Learn to distinguish between copy editing, substantive editing, and changes that require approval from the original author or technical subject matter expert
- Assist with maintaining document version control and incorporating comments and revisions from multiple contributors
