The Dry Room Technician is responsible for the careful handling, drying, curing, and initial processing of harvested cannabis plant material in full compliance with Ohio Division of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations, company standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. This role is critical to preserving product integrity, maintaining accurate METRC seed-to-sale tracking records, and ensuring that all post-harvest activities meet regulatory and consumer-quality benchmarks.
The Dry Room Technician works closely with the cultivation and packaging teams to support a seamless, compliant post-harvest workflow.
Drying & Curing Operations
- Hang and/or rack freshly harvested cannabis according to established SOPs for optimal airflow and even drying.
- Monitor and log dry room environmental conditions (temperature, relative humidity, VPD) at prescribed intervals.
- Adjust environmental controls (HVAC, dehumidifiers, fans) to maintain target drying parameters.
- Track and document drying timelines for each batch, escalating deviations to the Post-Harvest Supervisor.
