Associate Manager, Social Media at Mane | LAYIQ

SOCIAL CALENDAR + EDITORIAL PLANNING — 40%
Own the development and day-to-day management of Mane’s social content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and emerging platforms, working closely with the Social Media Manager / Head of Content to bring channel and content strategy to life.
Translate brand priorities, product launches, cultural moments, retail moments, trends and community insights into clear weekly and monthly content plans.
Think beyond filling slots: ensure every piece of content has a clear purpose, audience and role within the broader social strategy.
Partner closely with Social, Brand, Creative, Influencer and Digital teams to understand upcoming priorities and source the content needed to support them.
Maintain a thoughtful balance of product education, entertainment, brand storytelling, creator content, trends and community-led content.
Identify content gaps early and proactively pitch ideas and solutions to fill them.
Lead the organization and preparation of weekly calendar reviews, incorporating feedback and translating decisions into clear next steps.
Keep the calendar agile, recommending real-time adjustments based on trends, performance, launches and cultural conversations.
Ensure all planned content is briefed, approved and ready to publish on time.
COPYWRITING + SOCIAL STORYTELLING — 25%
Own day-to-day social copywriting across Mane’s organic channels, including captions, Instagram Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other social-first executions.
Translate product benefits, claims, campaign messaging and brand priorities into concise, compelling, consumer-friendly social copy.
Develop hooks, headlines, CTAs and social storytelling concepts designed to capture attention and drive engagement.
Bring Mane’s social voice to life consistently across platforms while adapting tone and messaging to how consumers actually behave on each channel.
Partner with the Social Media Manager / Head of Content to continuously sharpen how Mane shows up and communicates socially.
Proofread and quality-check social content before publishing, maintaining a high bar for grammar, spelling, product information, claims and brand voice.
Stay close to social language and culture, identifying emerging formats, conversations and behaviors Mane can authentically participate in.
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT + PUBLISHING — 20%
Turn calendar needs into clear, actionable social briefs and shot lists in partnership with Social and Creative.
Project-manage social content from brief through delivery, keeping stakeholders aligned on deadlines, feedback and approvals.
Attend shoots as needed to capture native, behind-the-scenes and reactive social content.
Organize and program UGC, creator content, influencer content and brand assets into the social calendar.
Schedule and publish content across platforms, ensuring copy, tags, links, product information and assets are accurate.
Create and edit lightweight native social content in-app as needed, particularly for timely trends, launches and cultural moments.
Support testing and execution across emerging platforms and formats.
COMMUNITY + CULTURAL INSIGHTS — 15%
Stay close to Mane’s community to understand what they’re asking, talking about, sharing and responding to.
Monitor comments, DMs, tagged content and relevant conversations across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.
Respond and engage in a helpful, distinctive and on-brand voice.
Identify proactive and reactive opportunities for Mane to participate in relevant conversations and cultural moments.
Surface recurring questions, feedback, trends and community behaviors that can inform future content and channel strategy.
Identify high-performing UGC and community content that can be incorporated into upcoming calendars.
Stay immersed in beauty, hair, fashion, creators and broader internet culture, regularly bringing relevant trends and content opportunities back to the Social team.

3-5 years of experience in social media, content, editorial or brand marketing, ideally within beauty, fashion or consumer brands.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate a brand point of view in a concise, compelling and social-native way.
Strong experience building and managing complex social content calendars across multiple platforms and business priorities.
Highly organized with excellent project-management skills and an ability to keep many moving pieces moving.
Strong editorial judgment-you know what deserves to go on the calendar, what doesn't and what's missing.
·Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram, including platform-native formats, trends, creators and community behaviors.
Ability to translate marketing strategy and product information into content consumers actually want to engage with.
Comfortable working quickly and adapting plans when culture, performance or business priorities change.
Strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy.
Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with Creative, Brand, Influencer, Digital and Product teams.
