Park Place Finance is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. This role combines strong accounting expertise with financial analysis to provide leadership with meaningful insights while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
Analyze quarterly and annual financial performance and identify trends
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial recommendations
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate financial insights to leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist with the annual budgeting process
Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual and projected results
Recommend opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Lead month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, corporate tax filings, and general ledger maintenance
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Business Partnership
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to provide financial guidance
Present financial results and recommendations to management
Support strategic planning through historical analysis, market research, and competitive benchmarking
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial reporting processes
Recommend and implement efficiencies through automation and improved workflows
Leadership
Mentor and train junior accounting staff
Support the continued development of accounting best practices across the organization
Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
Experience with QuickBooks and/or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday in Austin, Texas
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strategic mindset with strong business acumen
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CPA or CFA designation
Experience in hard money lending or commercial real estate lending (Bridge, DSCR, or Renovation Loans)
Experience with warehouse lending facilities
Experience preparing partnership and investor tax filings
