Data Center Technician - Memphis at PGTEK | LAYIQ

Responsibilities:

Hardware Support: Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement (e.g., GPUs, NICs, memory, etc.) for Dell servers and related equipment.
Ticket Management: Track and manage service tickets, prioritizing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, leveraging expertise in server components and systems.
Customer Service: Provide clear and effective communication with team members and internal customers, ensuring a smooth experience.
Physical Tasks: Lift up to 65 pounds, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks in the datacenter.
Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with other technicians and departments to meet deployment goals and resolve technical issues.
Attention to Detail: Ensure all repairs and tasks are completed to a high standard, maintaining precision and quality.
Preferred Skills: Nvidia GPU/NIC Experience: Familiarity with Nvidia hardware and networking interfaces is a plus.
Basic Networking Knowledge: Understanding of basic network troubleshooting and configurations.
Linux Log Reading: Experience reading and interpreting Linux logs for hardware diagnostics.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Linux CLI: Command-line experience in Linux for basic system navigation and troubleshooting.
RoCE Networking: Familiarity with RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) network protocols.
Additional Information: Onsite Work: This role requires 100% onsite presence in Memphis, TN, with no remote work options.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform hands-on hardware repairs, lift heavy equipment, and work in a physically demanding environment.
