Role
As a Journeyperson Electrician at Rising Edge Group, you will report directly to the Site Supervisor and play a crucial role in maintaining, upgrading, and installing equipment within electrical substations ranging from 13.8kV to 500 kV. Your responsibilities will encompass reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical codes, and ensuring compliance through inspections of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
This senior position also entails mentoring and training Electrician Apprentices to foster their development in electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various electrical systems, failing equipment, transformers, circuit breakers, switches, switchgears, and instrument transformers across different voltage levels (500kV to 13.8kV).
- Assist with the installation of structural steel and buried utilities.
- Operate construction equipment, including skid steers, mini hoes, manlifts, and zoombooms.
