Application/Systems Administrator

Spalding, a Saalex Company is seeking a Application/Systems Administrator in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $125k-$155k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location: Hybrid. Requires on-site support at Patuxent River, MD approximately 3 days per week. May require occasional evening/weekend hours for patching/upgrades.

Essential Functions:

Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration of software applications with specific focus on Windows systems, including:

• Microsoft Office products
• Java JRE
• Visual Studio
• Raytheon EAGLE
• Operations and sustainment of AWS Cloud-native Services, specifically AWS GovCloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Provides support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and internal/external teams.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Required: Experience troubleshooting software issues required.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview)
• Desired: Application installation/configuration/administration experience on Windows-based systems required, experience with large-scale/complex app configuration a plus.
• Strong foundation and understanding of AWS native services required, experience with AWS GovCloud highly preferred.
• Education/Experience: BS/BA or AS/AA degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
