- Position Summary
The Senior Capacity Planning Engineer for Mainframe works directly with a team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting mainframe processing capacity at DTCC. The successful candidate will collect, process and validate system resource data along with business volume data for future analysis using sound data science principles. One should have a basic understanding of Mainframe while knowledgeable of sources and tools used to collect, validate, then process required system data.
One should have a solid background in descriptive statistics to extrapolate insight from large quantities of raw data using SAS software on the mainframe and in distributed environments.
Specific Responsibilities
Mainframe capacity planning
Run and validate the Data Collection and Reporting process using scheduling software.
- Design basic reports using SAS
- Build and Edit JCL in ISPF
