About the role

We seek energetic, experienced Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) coaches to lead and facilitate live online group sessions for youth. As a tapouts SEL Coach, you'll create a fun, engaging, and emotionally safe virtual environment where kids build confidence, self-regulation, and connection with their peers.

As a tapouts SEL Coach, you will:

• Lead live online SEL group sessions for youth ages 4-16 years
• Deliver structured social-emotional learning activities and games that build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills
• Build positive relationships with participants and foster an inclusive, emotionally safe group space
• Manage group dynamics and respond calmly to behavioral or emotional disruptions during live sessions
• Monitor and assess individual and group progress

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (Mandatory), Master's degree is preferred
• At least 2 years of experience leading live group sessions with children in a virtual or online setting
• At least 5 years of experience designing or leading structured group sessions or programs for children
• SEL, coaching, or mental-health-specific certification is strongly preferred (e.g., ICF, IPEC, PPS Credential, CASEL, Mental Health First Aid)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using Zoom and Google Suite as day-to-day coaching tools
• Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week to provide coaching within tapouts peak hours (1-8 pm PT) during weekdays and weekends (6am-8pm PT). Example schedule: Mondays (2pm-6pm), Thursdays (5pm-8pm), Saturdays (8am-11am) and Sundays (6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
• A fast, reliable internet connection and a quiet working space
• This position is remote, 100% online coaching position is a part-time independent 1099 contractor position that offers you the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

• Because our coaches lead every session live over video, all applicants are required to complete a short video interview as part of our recruitment process. This step allows us to see your energy and communication style on camera, and applications cannot move forward without it.
