Overview
The Mid-Utica Neighborhood Preservation Corporation (MUNPC), historically known as the Leisure Time Activity Center and commonly referred to as Mid-Utica, is a historically Black-founded organization that works to build and preserve our community, culture, and history while ending blight in the Greater Utica area since 1979.
We currently operate the Bessie Hicks Senior Program - adult social programming, physical fitness, and bible studies- Utica’s annual Juneteenth celebration, and a series of youth programs under Project RISE out of the Empowerment Center. In the Cornhill Leisure Time Activity Center, we historically provided community gathering/event space, early childhood education, and youth day care services.
