We have a new need for a Registered Nurse - Urology Clinic at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska
Job Specific Details and Tasks:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving evaluation and treatment within the Urology Clinic.
- Perform patient intake activities including obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, verifying medications, and preparing patients for provider evaluation.
- Assist urology providers during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cystoscopy, catheter placement, prostate biopsy preparation, bladder instillation treatments, and other urologic interventions performed in the clinic setting.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and identify potential complications or adverse reactions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with provider orders and nursing scope of practice.
