POSITION SUMMARY
*** This position is Hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 days remote **
This position is responsible for the global, strategic sourcing process for the meat category reporting to the Director of Meat Procurement. Responsibilities include market and industry analysis, supplier research and review, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing events, bid analysis, negotiations, contracting, and implementation. These activities ensure optimal terms and conditions while delivering high levels of quality and service.
The position also includes ongoing category management, supplier integration, supplier relationship management, risk management, contingency planning, market forecasting, financial planning, and budget setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops category sourcing strategies including market, industry, and supply base analysis, supplier segmentation, sourcing activities, bid analysis, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
