Senior Social Worker - Fostering Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Senior Social Worker for its client's Fostering Team at Gateshead.

Our client, Gateshead Council, is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. The team works collaboratively with foster carers, children, families, and partner agencies to provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can thrive.

As a Senior Social Worker within the Fostering Team, you will play a key role in supporting and supervising foster carers, undertaking fostering assessments, and contributing to the ongoing development of the fostering service. You will also act as a source of expertise within the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues while ensuring the highest standards of social work practice are maintained.

What will your responsibilities be?

Deliver a high-quality fostering service in line with statutory requirements, fostering regulations, and Gateshead Council policies and procedures.

Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers and present reports to fostering panels.
