Senior Social Worker - Safeguarding, Assessment & Support

2 experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Safeguarding, Assessment & Support (SAS) Team within Children's Social Care for its client. Based at the Hartlepool Civic Centre, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated service committed to safeguarding children and supporting families across the borough.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in undertaking assessments, managing complex cases, and providing effective interventions to ensure children are protected and supported to achieve positive outcomes. You will work within a supportive team environment, collaborating with partner agencies and contributing to high-quality social work practice.

What will your responsibilities be?

Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding and support.

Undertake Child and Family Assessments and develop effective care and support plans.

Carry out child protection investigations and statutory interventions in line with legislation and local procedures.

Work directly with children, young people, and families to reduce risk and improve outcomes.

Prepare reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, reviews, and other statutory meetings.
