Social Worker - Assessment & Intervention

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s

Social Worker to join its client’s  Assessment & Intervention team, based in Gateshead.

We are a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for families across the borough.

As a Social Worker within the Assessment & Intervention Team, you will play a key role in undertaking assessments, identifying risks, and delivering timely interventions to support children and their families. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

What will your responsibilities be?

Deliver a high-quality statutory social work service in accordance with legislation, statutory guidance, and Gateshead Council policies.

Undertake child and family assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and risk assessments.

Develop and implement child-centred plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Work directly with children and families, building effective relationships to support positive change.

Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely interventions are delivered in accordance with service expectations.
