Our client based in Southampton is seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Social Worker to join their Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity Team in Southampton. This role requires a confident practitioner with strong legal literacy, excellent assessment and recording skills, and the ability to manage complex and high-risk situations within a busy adult social care setting.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities and neurodiverse needs, delivering person-centred, evidence-based interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
Undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews in line with statutory responsibilities.
Leading on Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries, ensuring robust, timely and proportionate responses.
Completing Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) with strong evidence-based practice and confidently leading Best Interest decisions.
Developing strengths-based care and support plans focused on promoting independence and reducing long-term care needs.
