Social Work Manager - Children's Social Care at Liquid Personnel | LAYIQ

Responsibilities

Provide management support within the newly established Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
Work closely with the Assistant Team Manager (Social Work) and Assistant Team Manager (Family Help).
Oversee screening processes, threshold decisions, and safeguarding responses.
Support practitioners with risk assessment, complex decision-making, and case direction.
Ensure referrals are progressed appropriately, effectively, and within statutory timescales.
Promote high-quality social work practice and ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and procedures.
Monitor performance and support continuous improvement across the service.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
Provide professional guidance, supervision, and support where required.
Contribute to service development and the successful implementation of MASH processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Previous Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, or senior leadership experience within Children's Services.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience within MASH, Duty and Assessment, Front Door, or Referral and Assessment services.
Proven ability to manage complex safeguarding concerns and support robust decision-making.
Excellent understanding of relevant children's legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
Strong communication, leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with multi-agency partners and stakeholders.
