Future Standard is seeking a legal assistant/paralegal to assist the in-house Investments Legal Team with various administrative legal tasks.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS EXPECTED TO:
- Assist with various administrative matters, including, but not limited to, scanning, printing, filing/saving documents to the system and mailing original documents
- Assist with non-disclosure agreements
- Assist with subscription documents, associated forms and supporting documentation
- Prepare documents for execution (e.g., set up signatures blocks and coordinate signing with appropriate individuals)
- Prepare Investment Committee resolutions based on templates
Check on a daily basis the firm’s legal email inbox, respond as appropriate and ensure that emails are forwarded to the appropriate persons and/or saved in the appropriate locations
- Update internal tracking charts
- Download required documents from various password-protected, third-party data sites
- Work with the Investments Legal Team on special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required with at least 2 years of work experience at a reputable institution, preferably at a law firm or an in-house legal department
- Detail oriented and organized; self-starter and self-motivated
- Able to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines and work with multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available and flexible with tight deadlines especially during quarter and year ends
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe proficiency is required; able to learn quickly various software programs such as DealCloud, Burgiss and other document management systems
- Notary in CT is required or willingness to obtain
