Software Engineering Manager (Core) at Whoop | LAYIQ

Experience as a software developer with experience operating in a management or team lead role.
Experience managing and growing software engineering teams, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
Strong technical background building and operating backend systems in production.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams through technical planning and execution in ambiguous environments, delivering iteratively while maintaining quality and reliability.
Experience working effectively across functions and with external partners, aligning stakeholders on scope, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including service ownership and production monitoring (for example Amazon Web Services (AWS)).
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Passion for wearable technology and a desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
