Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) at Saronic Technologies | LAYIQ

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
Experience with design and simulation tools, such as Rhino, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks are a plus
Experience with engineering calculations, solid modeling, and drawing
Experience with engineering report writing, data acquisition, data analysis, hand and power tools, Arduino, and Raspberry PI programming
Preferred coursework in CAD, Machine Element Design, and Solid and Fluid Mechanics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
This role requires full-time in office presence (40 hours/week) based at our headquarters in Austin, TX, from May through August 2027
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasional standing and walking within the office
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
