Community Organizer Part-Time Santa Maria / Northern SB County at Planned Parenthood California Central Coast | LAYIQ

Must have valid California driver’s license, reliable automobile transportation and insurance in accordance with California DMV requirements
Candidate must travel within PPCCC geographic area (Thousand Oaks to San Luis Obispo)
Candidate must travel out of service area / possible air travel 1-2 times per year
CUSTOMER
SERVICE/COMMUNICATION: Must be able to interact well with community partners, donors, volunteers, and colleagues
Must be able to collaboratively with all affiliate departments
Return e-mails and telephone calls from staff and external calls promptly
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or two (2) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years in field/community organizing strongly preferred
Prior experience with campaign work
Experience with reproductive health advocacy and grassroots community organizing strongly preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent verbal and written Spanish language skills are preferred
Planned Parenthood California Central Coast’s (PPCCC’s) compensation philosophy supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Each position has a salary based on market value and the organization’s pay levels.
The starting salary for this position is $32.50/hour with an opportunity for an increase after six months of employment.
As part of our commitment to pay equity, PPCCC does not negotiate salaries.
Pay Differential: $1.00/hour bilingual Spanish/English differential pay is offered upon passing the language assessment test.
