Robotics Technician (Contract)
The Mission
GRAM is a self replication company creating populations of insectoids for the physical economy.
Our first research frontier is self-preservation: the base case of physical self-replication. Our machines will survive, coordinate, and recover without humans. We believe scalable machine labor requires more than single-agent task generality or machines shaped in our image.
You will build, wire, instrument, inspect, rework, service, and test insectoids and their subsystems. You will turn engineering releases into physical hardware, identify discrepancies before they become ambiguous machine failures, and maintain records connecting every test result to the actual article on the floor.
You will execute controlled work across fasteners, connectors, harnesses, bearings, sensors, adhesives, and calibration artifacts; surface defects quickly; and use measurements and documented discrepancies to restore the required build condition and improve product and process.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this El Segundo, California position is $25.00–$35.00 per hour. This is an on-site, hourly 1099 short term contract assignment supporting an immediate need. Contract expectation is 2-4 months as we plan to move HQ to the Bay Area. The position is non-exempt; overtime will be paid in accordance with applicable law. Please tell us your earliest available on-site start date. Assignment duration, schedule, and benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
We treat your work and conversations with discretion.
