The Mechanical – Subject Matter Expert (SME) is the main point of contact for mechanical operations and is responsible for all aspects of data center operations related the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical related critical environment systems. This lead role will help set the standard of mechanical operations with an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center.
The Mechanical - SME will drive continual improvements to the operational excellence of the data center by leading by example by adhering to company standards and industry best practices. They will have a mindset of ongoing learning and development and will be responsible for daily hands-on training and development of junior technicians.
As a member of the company’s Facilities team, the Mechanical - SME will be responsible for providing field level technical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with the onsite Mechanical vendor to ensure the ongoing operation, maintenance, and repair of the Mechanical, the installation of updates, and the functionality of all Mechanical alarms and notifications
- Development of detailed emergency, maintenance and drill procedures (in conjunction with the Engineering team)
