We’re looking for an Associate Director of TikTok Shop to lead a high-performing team of Account Managers while personally driving marketplace strategy for a select portfolio of top-tier brand partners as part of our Pattern Creators team. Creators is a software-as-a-service product within Pattern's ecommerce acceleration platform that offers a seamless solution for brands looking to build their ambassador programs, maximize their influencer marketing, and increase revenue.
In this dual-impact leadership role, you will scale our TikTok Shop division, mentor account managers, and refine the strategic playback for Pattern's key brand partners.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lehi, Utah or Los Angeles, CA.
What is a day in the life of an Associate Director of TikTok Shop?: Team Leadership & Development:
Directly manage, mentor, and scale a team of TikTok Shop Account Managers. Oversee portfolio bandwidth, refine client delivery standards, and foster professional growth across your team.
Strategic Brand Ownership:
Maintain high-level strategic oversight and direct relationship ownership for a curated portfolio of flagship brand partners, aligning their business goals with scalable social commerce strategies.
Operational & Revenue Growth:
Drive GMV growth and high-impact account strategies across your team's broader book of business, establishing scalable frameworks for live shopping, affiliate outreach, content optimization, and ad spend.
Executive Communication:
Act as a senior escalation point for client partners and regularly present high-level business reviews, performance analyses, and growth opportunities to client executives and internal leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Creator Operations, and Marketplace teams to continuously refine Pattern Creators' software capabilities and service offerings based on market demands.
Market Expertise:
Serve as an internal subject matter expert on TikTok Shop features, algorithm shifts, and emerging social commerce trends to keep Pattern at the forefront of the industry.
What will I need to thrive in this role?: 6+ years of total experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or digital agency environments, with at least 1-2+ years in a direct team management or supervisory role.
Proven track record of managing and scaling brand growth on TikTok Shop; deep knowledge of TikTok affiliate ecosystems, creator alignment, and shop operations required.
Strong leadership capability with a passion for coaching, setting performance standards, and building scalable processes.
Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex marketplace metrics into actionable business strategies and revenue growth plans.
Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, capable of steering high-stakes client negotiations and leading internal team alignment.
What does high performance look like?: Expand portfolio-wide revenue and GMV metrics across both your direct accounts and your direct reports' accounts.
Elevate team capabilities, resulting in high account retention, team efficiency, and consistent metric achievement across the entire TikTok Shop pod.
Innovate operational playbooks that set new benchmarks for TikTok Shop acceleration, making Pattern Creators the premier solution in the market.
What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?: First 30 Days:
Conduct 1:1s with your direct reports to assess team capacity, strengths, and immediate needs. Deep-dive into Pattern’s SaaS architecture, TikTok Shop processes, and client accounts. Assume primary management for your assigned brand portfolio and establish immediate rapport with key stakeholders.
First 60 Days: Implement initial operational optimizations across your team’s account management workflows. Actively coach Account Managers on client strategy, revenue growth levers, and crisis management. Deliver refined strategic recommendations for your personal book of business that yield initial performance gains.
First 90 Days
: Own end-to-end performance metrics for your pod. Demonstrate clear portfolio growth across your team’s accounts, establish scalable account management standards, and present quarterly growth strategies to client executives and Pattern leadership.
What is the team like?: You will report to the Head of Accounts for TikTok Shop and directly manage a team of TikTok Shop Account Managers. You will work alongside Marketplace Operations Specialists, Content Creators, and Creator Success Managers. This team is fast-paced, data-driven, and hyper-focused on scalable results.
