Position Overview:
- We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented
- IT Support Specialist with experience supporting
- PC operating systems
- (including legacy systems such as DOS and modern Windows environments), as well as a solid understanding of networking and email standards
. This role will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure reliable system and network performance across the organization.
Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
- Responsibilities:: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
- Install, configure, and maintain
- PC operating systems
- , including legacy environments (DOS) and current Windows platforms
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in a timely manner
- Support basic networking functions, including IP configuration, connectivity troubleshooting, and network device support
- Configure and troubleshoot email systems using standard protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3)
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory or similar)
- Maintain and deploy system images, patches, and updates
- Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in a ticketing system
- Assist with system backups, data recovery, and endpoint security measures
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and vendors to resolve escalated issues
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices
