Senior Platform Engineer at artafinance | LAYIQ

Design and build core financial systems
(trading, ledger, billing)
Develop systems for transaction processing, reconciliation, and portfolio state management
Build and scale real-time and batch data pipelines
Architect APIs and backend services for internal and external use
Ensure system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance
Contribute to distributed systems design (event-driven systems, microservices, streaming)
Partner with ML teams to integrate models into production systems (as needed, not core focus)
Who You Are
5+ years backend or systems engineer with experience in distributed systems
Experience in at least one: Financial systems (trading, ledger, payments)
Data infrastructure
Scalable backend platforms
Strong understanding of system design, consistency, and reliability
Solid programming skills (Python or similar)
Experience with modern infra (Kafka, Kubernetes, cloud, etc.)
Location: Bay Area preferred (3 days/week in our Mountain View office). We're flexible for exceptional remote candidates on the West Coast.
Strong Plus
Experience with financial primitives
(ledger, order management, reconciliation)
Experience in low-latency or high-throughput systems
Exposure to data platforms or streaming systems
Some familiarity with ML systems (nice-to-have, not required)
