- Chest Medicine Associates is seeking a New Patient Referral Coordinator
, to be based in the South Portland office.
Requirements of the New Patient Referral Coordinator:: High school education or G.E.D. equivalent.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Possess strong organizational skills.
Experience with referrals preferred.
Prior experience in a medical office environment and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.
Ability to work on site Monday-Friday during regular office hours.

- Responsibilities of the New Patient Referral Coordinator:: Sort, prioritize, and organize new, incoming requests for consultations.
- Create charts in electronic medical record (EMR)
- Enter demographic and insurance information into electronic charts.
- Scan documents into chart.
- Ensure the accuracy of patient registration and data entry.
- Schedule new patient appointments accurately with appropriate phone etiquette.
- Enroll patients in portal.
- Support other departments as needed.
