We are seeking an accomplished senior environmental professional to be a leader and grow Sundance's Federal Environmental Practice and serve as a senior leader within the Compliance, Characterization, and Remediation (CCR) business. This is a senior seller/doer role that combines client development, capture and proposal leadership, technical direction, and successful project delivery.

The Federal Environmental Program Director will leverage established relationships across the federal environmental market to identify and pursue growth opportunities while providing hands-on leadership for complex CERCLA and RCRA investigation, remediation, and compliance programs supporting DOD, DOI, and other federal clients.

What You’ll Do:: Winning and Developing Work

• Develop Federal Client Relationships: Leverage and expand established relationships with DOD clients, including USACE, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of the Air Force, and DOI clients, including BLM, NPS, USFWS, and BIA, to identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Lead Capture and Proposals: Lead capture strategy for major pursuits and serve as a key contributor to teaming, technical strategy, proposal development, interviews, and presentations for federal MATOC/SATOC and task-order procurements.
• Build Winning Teams: Develop productive relationships with prime contractors, teaming partners, small businesses, and specialized subcontractors to strengthen Sundance’s competitive position and delivery capabilities.
• Drive Sustainable Growth: Develop and execute account and market strategies that convert client relationships and technical capabilities into profitable new work. Support annual sales, backlog, and revenue growth objectives for the Federal Environmental Practice.
• Delivering Excellent Work
• Provide Technical Leadership: Lead complex CERCLA and RCRA investigation, decision-document, remediation, and compliance programs, including PA/SI, RI/FS, RD/RA, RFI, CMS, and CMI activities.
• Ensure Technical Quality: Provide senior review and technical direction to ensure that project plans, reports, field approaches, and deliverables satisfy contractual, regulatory, technical, and quality requirements.
• Deliver Successful Projects: Maintain accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, client satisfaction, risk management, and project profitability.
• Engage Clients: Serve as a trusted senior advisor to federal clients, installation and facility representatives, regulators, teaming partners, and other stakeholders.
• Supporting the Team
• Mentor and Develop Staff: Mentor engineers, geologists, scientists, and project managers; strengthen their technical, project-delivery, client-development, and proposal capabilities; and help develop the next generation of federal environmental leaders.
• Requires Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible environmental consulting experience, including at least five years leading business development and project delivery for federal clients.
• Demonstrated success winning and delivering environmental investigation, remediation, or compliance work for DOD, DOI, EPA, or other federal agencies.
• Advanced working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA processes, environmental investigations, remedy evaluation and implementation, decision documents, and regulatory compliance.
• Established professional relationships with federal program managers, contracting organizations, installation and facility representatives, industry partners, and specialized subcontractors, with a demonstrated history of leveraging those relationships to generate and expand business opportunities.
