Media, PA - On-Site Amharic Interpreters

Overview:

Language Services Associates is looking for Amharic interpreters in the Media, PA area.  As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. LSA is continuously accepting qualified interpreters for a wide range of interpreting assignments!

Responsibilities:

• ·         Provide superior customer service
• ·         Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• ·         Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• ·       Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• ·         Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• ·         Access to personal or public transport

Qualifications/Experience:

• ·         Full fluency in both English and Amharic
• ·         The ability to provide a high level of client service
• ·         1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
• ·         Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
