A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our office in Washington, DC
. This position requires
NO previous survey experience. As part of this team, you will receive on the job training and support. With the opportunity to work alongside supportive management, tackle challenging projects, and develop your career, there is no better time to join AMT.
Responsibilities: Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief
- Field survey activities will include technical support: Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector. Entry-level staff will be trained to operate survey instruments during the first year of employment
- Field survey activities will include manual labor support: open and investigate utility manholes, set survey points with sledgehammer, set survey points on construction sites, stock survey supplies in survey vehicle
- Perform daily field survey activities as directed by the survey crew chief
