What We Are Looking For
Operator/Mechanic will operate heavy equipment needed with bulk material handling such as a front-end loader, forklifts, sweeper, skid steer, etc. Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Do
Educational requirements: (minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would helpful)
Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as front end loaders, forklifts, sweeper operation and conveyors
Must have knowledge and experience with packaging and palletizing equipment; must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions majority of the time will be working outside
The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as take on other duties as assigned
Typical hours for this position are 7:00am to 3:30pm with flexibility to work 2nd shift on occasion.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries
Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
Physical requirements include but are not limited to: Able to lift as much as 50 lbs. as high as waist level
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as four feet
Must not have a fear of water or heights
The ability to swim is a plus
Ability to take initiative and work with coworkers to accomplish defined goals in a fast-paced environment
Successful completion of validated testing, background check and drug screen upon offer
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge: (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)
CDL a plus but not required
