TRANSPORTER

Responsibilities The Transporter/Driver provides safe transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. The Transporter may also provide direct care to adult patients with psychiatric disorders, as well as substance abuse, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the patients.

The Transporter will have the responsibility of ensuring the patient’s safety to or from the facility or various offsite locations such as physician offices, diagnostic centers, ERs, Military bases, discharge placements, etc. Qualifications Completion of a High School Diploma or its equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years experiencein mental health care, preferably in a healthcare facility.
