The George Washington University Capital Medical Group (formerly known as the GW Medical Faculty Associates) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join a respected academic ophthalmology program in the heart of Washington, DC. This position offers a rare blend of high‑quality clinical care, cataract surgery, and hands‑on teaching within a thriving academic environment.
Candidates will manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, provide essential comprehensive services and play a key role in educating residents and medical students. Technician Academic Teaching Opportunity: Educate and mentor residents and students; potential leadership opportunities EMR: Epic Responsibilities Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care including complex cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters Contribute to the coverage of the GW Hospital Emergency Department. This call is shared with the other members and paid per night.
