Overview
The Endoscopy Surgical Services CCMA is responsible for supportive tasks that assist the Endoscopy Technician, Health Unit Coordinator, and Unit Aide. Also responsible to provide basic patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Endoscopy Surgical Services CCMA demonstrates excellent customer service consistent with the standards contained in the mission, vision and values of Covenant Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Health Unit Coordinator or Registered Nurse with posting cases to the procedure schedule
- Assists Unit Aide with cleaning carts and making beds between cases as able
- Schedules procedures as needed
- Collaborates with coworkers in a friendly and cooperative manner
- Assists with patient transports as directed
- Communicates updates and problems in a timely manner to management
- Has clinical and social contact with patients, including all age groups
- Assists with simple procedures and follows standard precautions
