The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. This role oversees staffing, patient flow, resource utilization, and regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. The Clinical Supervisor partners with leaders, physicians, and co-workers to improve processes, support organizational goals, and drive change through mentorship, accountability, and servant leadership.
This position promotes professional excellence, supports co-worker development, participates in performance evaluations, and upholds Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards.
Position Details:
The PCU is a unit that provides care to patients age 18 and older requiring a higher level of care and surveillance than a general med/surg floor but not presenting the need for critical care in an intensive care unit. The PCU patient population at any given time is a cross sample of the hospital census, just to a slightly more acute degree. For this reason, a broad scope is needed for those wishing to work in PCU as they care for all systems from neuro to cardiac to GI and beyond.
