The Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Career Ladder Opportunities:
Associate Sonographer:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.
Experience: no experience required.
Certification: Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Sonographer:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience.
Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area; Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Sonographer:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
Senior Sonographer:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 4 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 7 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
