The Cardiac Device Specialist (CDS) assists physicians, advanced practitioners, and the CIED clinic supervisor in monitoring patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. Proficient in CIED programming, the CDS manages patient diagnostics via remote monitoring websites, analyzes transmissions, enters data into Paceart and Epic, maintains system integrity, and refers to EP physicians as needed.
The CDS must meet quality, safety, and value standards under the direction of the clinic supervisor, physicians, and advanced practitioners, performing duties aligned with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced RN with strong clinical judgment, exceptional triage abilities, and the ability to effectively prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment. While cardiac experience and familiarity with cardiac arrhythmias are preferred, they are not required. Candidates should have a solid foundation in medication management and acute patient assessment. We are seeking someone who is organized, approachable, and patient-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
